William has played in the shadows of some great Pine Creek High School receivers. And while he completely believe that “iron sharpens iron”, this was supposed to be his season. He’d like to get a chance to see if the grind he has been putting in since his team walked off the field at Mile Stadium last November as 4A state champions, will set him up for some future success. William’s been thinking about this year, his senior year, playing with the boys for as long as he can remember.
This fall season was meant to be life altering for him, to determine if he has what it takes to get to the next level. William’s been working out for the past 11 months with a purpose, and not getting a chance to play football this fall will leave him with a sense of “what could have been”. He believes we should all be able to make our own choices in life to get us where we want to go, and thinks families should get to choose if they want to play sports this Fall. If William does not earn an athletic scholarship he may take a gap year to figure out his future.
